David Ackerman and Shiloh, his K9 partner from Farmington Hills, Michigan, have been doing explosive detection and patrol for almost three years. David loves working with Shiloh, and the pup is just as excited to be with him.
According to David, when they are patrolling, Shiloh is very serious and focused. He loves his job and is always excited and determined to search. But, when Shiloh is home, he is a total goofball.

Shiloh has been trained to sit in the back whenever he and his dad are driving around. He knows that even when David steps out, he is still not allowed in front of the car. However, recently, Shiloh started to break that rule.
David explained that the door’s latch was not working right, and he has caught Shiloh on his seat a couple of times. Even when David finds Shiloh in the back upon his return, he sees the door open with the seat still warm. So, David had his suspicions.
To find out what his dog does whenever he is out of the car, David decided to set up a hidden camera. After turning it on, David left, and the moment he was gone, Shiloh opened the door and leaped at the front.

David burst out laughing upon seeing how his dog watched out for his return before hopping out of the seat. He thought that Shiloh was being sneaky, although, of course, the seat’s warmth was a huge giveaway.
Technically, Shiloh is breaking the rules, but David does not mind. He is such a hardworking dog and the sweetest one, too. Without a doubt, Shiloh has earned the little seat time when his dad is out.
According to David, they had so much fun that even after they fixed the latch, every once in a while, he leaves the door open. That way, Shiloh can sneak at the front.
