Pups are known for their loyalty and unconditional love. Even if they don’t get the same amount of love that they give, most pups wouldn’t mind it. However, despite a pup’s loving and forgiving nature, some people still choose to hurt them.
A pup named Kevin is an example of a loyal pup who ended up with the wrong people. Kevin was brutally shot and left for dead by his human. But rather than getting mad and bitter at his human, the pup wanted to know why his human treated him that way.
Witnesses reported that they heard gunshots fired six times before noticing a person walking toward a parked car. But what shocked them was when they saw a wounded pup struggling to follow the person who seemed to be purposely ignoring the pup. The person quickly got in his car and drove away, leaving the wounded pup behind. Instead of barking or growling bitterly at his oppressor, the pup seemed to look longingly at his abusive owner.
The witnesses immediately called the authorities. But when the Manassas Park Police arrived at the scene, Kevin was gone. So the officers began searching for the pup and soon found him after following a trail of his blood. Kevin was then rushed to MedVet Northern Virginia, where he underwent treatment. After examining the poor dog, the staff members at the clinic learned that the pup was shot on his right back leg, right shoulder, and various other parts of his body.
Currently, the police are conducting an intensive search to bring the person responsible for Kevin’s injuries into custody. Despite having limited leads, they are certain that Kevin’s attacker is someone the pup knows well. Capt. Frank Winston from the Manassas Police said that only pups with a deep love for someone would follow them until the end despite getting wounded by that same person.
In the clinic, Kevin underwent surgery to remove the bullets from his body and patch up his wounds. Due to the severe injury in the pup’s hind leg, the vet at the clinic needed to amputate it. Fortunately, Kevin’s prospect of recovery is looking bright, thanks to all the people who willingly donated for the pup’s medical bills.
Despite what he has experienced, Kevin has remained a happy and positive pup. The pup is working hard to recover and is taking every opportunity to show his gratefulness to all who are helping him. Now, all Kevin needs is a warm and loving family who would never harm him. He has surely left his past behind and is looking brightly into his future!
