Clearwater police officers recently spotted and picked up a Pit Bull on the roadside. The pitbull was very happy and friendly when approached by people. But despite his happy demeanor, the pup looked pitiful. He was malnourished and skinny.
The police officers are tracking down those who abandoned the poor pup. Such a heartless act could be charged as animal cruelty. The police force will also appreciate any help with tracking the pup’s previous owners.
The Pit Bull found by the roadside had nothing left with him except for a bag of food. However, the bag of food was not what the pup wanted; all the poor pup wanted was love from his family. But based on his appearance, the pup surely lacked what he longed for in his previous family.
Rob Shaw, from the Clearwater Police, said that the pup they rescued seemed like the most friendly and loving pup he has met. So they were determined to care for the pup no matter what. The officers brought him to an animal control center called Pinellas County Animal Control to give the pup the care he desperately needed. Hopefully, with his medical care being taken care of, the lovely pup could get adopted very soon.
While the pup is healing and growing stronger, the police are also doing their best to track down those who abandoned the pup. The pup had no microchip or tags which made it harder for them, but that won’t slow them down. Despite understanding that some families may have a hard time caring for their pups, abandoning them is ever the right way to let them go. The best solution, both for the owner and the pup, is to reach out to the humane society, to reach out to animal control centers.
Luckily for this Pit Bull, he was found and taken into good hands. He is slowly recovering and getting used to life in the shelter. If you recognize the pup, please contact (727) 562-4242 to help the police force track down those who abandoned the sweet pup.
