The confirmed COVID-19 cases continue to grow in number to this day. We continue to live in quarantine and try to make things work for everyone. That includes strictly following health protocols. And most pet owners took this trying time as an opportunity for innovation.
In Mexico, COVID-19, like many countries, continues to make its presence known. Many non-essential establishments and businesses were forced to shut down. And large gatherings are still restricted. Those who have contracted the virus have been under strict house quarantining.
But what happens when one starts to crave a specific food while quarantining? Antonio Muñoz knows how this feels. On his third day of home quarantine, he has to come up with a brilliant way to satisfy his Cheetos craving without breaking any law.
Antonio doesn’t want to bother his neighbor for such a small thing. Instead, he turned for help to his trusted Chihuahua. He then attached money and a note on her collar asking the storekeeper to sell his dog some orange Cheetos. He even indicated some fair warning that if his dog is not treated well, she’ll bite!
And it worked! The Chihuahua got the Cheetos for his dad and off she went!
Some pet owners weren’t pleased by the idea. Sending a little dog out in the streets alone with money on her collar shouts danger. She could have fallen victim to an unwanted fate!
Perhaps those bad guys took to heart the warning on her collar. The little pup was able to come home safe. She does look fulfilled when she handed the orange Cheetos to his craving dad.
Who would have thought that a little pooch could be of so much help? Thanks to our ever so loyal dogs, we now have something to be grateful for.
This global crisis may have brought pain, but there are those things that can give us hope and joy. This little Chihuahua is surely one of those.
