Dogs aren’t just pets or workout buddies. They aren’t just your companions who cuddle with you whenever you feel sad. They can also be your little helpers at work. Proof of that is the countless stories of dogs assisting in different industries and disciplines, such as healthcare and the military.
One another great example is this cute and perky dog who helps her human run a food truck. She actually works as an adorable delivery staffer.
The doggy delivers
Husband and wife Michael and Tanya Ludden opened up a shop named Original Dog Treat Truck Company earlier this year. Their mission was to serve freshly made dog food to their pet patrons in Texas.
To help with their operations, they enlisted the help of Lily, their eight-year-old Golden Retriever. The said pup worked as probably one of the first waiters for a food truck designed for dogs.
According to Michael, Lily loved dogs, people, and treats. And such a combination of interests made her a perfect fit for the couple’s business.
A video clip of Lily carrying a bag of plant-based dog food to the shop’s customers had been uploaded to TikTok. On the said social media platform, the video had amassed more than 11 million views.
Michael said that he was so grateful that the world had the chance to fall in love with Lily just as much as he and his wife loved her. He proudly said that Lily was gentle, friendly; he even added that he knew the pup had the potential to be viral.
Of course, the pup receives compensation!
Michael said that when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, their business picked up. And according to him, Lily was happy to help them get the orders out to the shop’s patrons.
And because Lily was providing her services, she also received compensation from the couple. Other than belly rubs, the pup received treats. During her days off, the family also took her on holidays where she could hike and swim.
