Meet Sisu, a large brown dog who definitely has a thing for pink and purple unicorn toys. For several times already, he was caught stealing a plush unicorn toy from a store in Kenansville, North Carolina. Every single time, he would enter the store and head straight to where the unicorn was and grab it.
Ultimately, the store’s employees had to call the animal services for the pup’s repeated crimes of breaking and entering. Fortunately for the pup, Samantha Lane, the animal control officer who responded to the situation, bought the plush toy for him to keep him company. Surely, the pup thought getting locked up was worth it as long as he got to be with his favorite unicorn.
The incident was so adorable and worth sharing with everyone. Thus, the animal services shared what happened by posting it on Facebook. Not long after, the said post went viral. Many people online found the story adorable. Many commented to thank Officer Samantha for buying the toy for him. Some even expressed that they wanted to adopt the pup.
In the animal shelter, they named the dog Sisu. They also arranged a photoshoot for the pup and his beloved unicorn. In one of the photos, he was smiling while looking at the camera. Clearly, he’s delighted to be with his beloved toy. According to the shelter staff, Sisu is obedient and can follow basic commands like “stay,” “sit,” and “heel.” However, he can be sassy with other pups.
Not surprisingly, it didn’t take a long time for him to get adopted. No doubt, he’s now happy not only with his favorite toy by his side but also with his new family. Indeed, this pup already found his happy fairytale ending. Hopefully, he never has to steal something ever again!
