A dog living at a shelter recently turned two years old, and the staff at the facility decided to throw a birthday party to celebrate the event. The dog had been at the shelter for one year, and everyone loved the pooch.

The birthday bash happened on Tuesday, and the dog named Brownie spent most of the day playing in the swimming pool and chasing tennis balls. The shelter staff also brought a special cake for the dog and also spoilt him with treats.

At the end of the birthday party, Brownie was joined by his animal friends for a photoshoot, and the snaps that came out were outright adorable.

Katie Corbett, one of the shelter staff employees, told reporters that because of living at the shelter for a long time, Brownie had developed some behavioral issues. The dog gets very apprehensive about strangers. When the dog is outdoors for his walks, he gets scared by people who are not on the other end of his leash.

The dog’s behavioral problems have caused people to overlook the pooch while making decisions to adopt a pet from the shelter.

Katie believes that despite the dog’s minor behavioral issues, the dog should get adopted because he is a lovable animal. The dog even helps other dogs to get acclimated during playgroups. Although the dog can sometimes become a bit anxious, playgroup has always proven to be a positive experience for the pooch.

Katie added that Brownie is a smart and goofy dog who is the happiest when he has tennis balls around him, and he also enjoys being in the pool.

The staff at the shelter is hoping that someone would come along very soon to give Brownie a chance to be a part of their family. The staff believes that once the pooch receives the attention that he deserves, he’ll prove to be an excellent pup.
